Music has always been one of the most profound forms of expression. At times, it’s the only thing that can truly give voice to what we’re feeling deep inside. It speaks when words fall short and in doing so, it creates bonds between people that are rich, lasting, and deeply human.

When I was a teenager, I’d lose track of time learning my favorite songs. There was something magical about putting the drudgery of the day behind and feeling like I was playing alongside the artists I admired. Sharing those moments with my mom or my best friends was a way of connecting through something I loved. Especially when my friends learned the same songs and we got to play together. It made the experience even more meaningful!

As we grow older, our lives change, our priorities shift, but some passions stay with us. Every time I pick up my guitar, I feel that same spark, that same sense of belonging and joy. Music has been a source of comfort, pride, and personal growth.

That’s why I believe strongly that every student should have the opportunity to discover their own musical path. The ability to express themselves through music isn’t just a skill but a lifelong source of strength and connection.
