If you haven't joined the Southern Lehigh Public Library and live in the areas it services. Residents of Coopersburg Borough, Lower Milford Township, and Upper Saucon Township are entitled to free memberships. The amount of resources available are incredible and that's an understatement!
Some of the benefits of registering with the SLPL include:
Children, Youth and Adult Programs
An example of some of these programs are Lego Free Play, Baby Storytime, Evening Book Club (Adult), Dungeon & Dragons, Pokemon TCG & more.
Museum Passes (7-day passes)
Currently to the Elmwood Park Zoo, Mercer Museum & Fonthill Castle, America On Wheels & more.
Digital Resources & Borrowing Apps
Hoopla, Libby, Kanopy
Digital Databases
Including access to The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), The New York Times, The Morning Call, Ancestry, PA Driver's Permit Practice Test, Brainfuse (SAT, ACT, GED test prep.)
A full list of databases can be found here.
Access to 18 computers hooked up to high-speed internet.
Free WiFi
And of course a large selection of books, magazines, and newspapers
I could write articles on how much the library offers and it's benefit to the community. My son absolutely loves to borrow books through the Hoopla App whether it be an e-book or an audiobook. It's helped fuel his interest in reading and propelled his vocabulary and imagination in the best ways. I am forever grateful to those who keep this library functioning so well.
Check out their website here and if you haven't registered for you card please consider it.
