Full Day K Is Coming To Southern Lehigh!

At the May 12th 2025 school board meeting, a milestone was reached: the board unanimously voted to implement Full-Day Kindergarten in our district!

This decision is the result of incredible dedication and teamwork from so many in our community; including passionate community members, engaged parents, and thoughtful school board members. SHOUTOUT TO THE KINDERGARTEN CRUSADERS! Over the past year, they attended countless board and committee meetings, tackled logistical and budgetary challenges, and carefully analyzed research and data to ensure this was the right step forward for our children.

It’s a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we work together with a clear purpose and dedication to our children’s future!

Of course, the work is not finished. Important questions remain, and many details still need to be finalized, including transportation, building layout, staffing, policies, and procedures, and more. A steering committee for Full-Day Kindergarten implementation is expected to be formed, and with continued focus and care, we have the opportunity to build one of the strongest full-day K programs.
